What to Expect

It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. Let's talk about dress. A few people dress up, but most people choose to dress down and come casual. Come the way that you feel most comfortable.

Before the worship time...

come inside
Enter the Overton Chapel (8:30) or Worship Center (11:00 & 6:00) and our greeters will direct you from there. If you have small children we have a safe and fun area just for them! Please ask our greeters to direct you to our children's area.

worship
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. Our 11am Celebration worship time utilizes praise band, orchestra, choir and praise team with exciting praise songs and more intimate songs of worship. Our 8:30 Classic worship has a more traditional, contemplative feel with favorite hymns and spiritual songs and is led by piano and organ. Everyone worships in their own unique way – for some, that means singing & clapping, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

offering
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. It also gives Fayetteville First Baptist the means to reach more people for Christ in the future. As a guest, you'll be asked to fill out the Guest Connection tear-off in your bulletin during the service. Everyone fills out a card and drops it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit.

the message (sermon)
Every weekend, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.

After worship...

visit the lobby
Stop by the Guest Connection Center following the message and pick up a free gift and learn more about our ministries here at FFBC. We would also love to introduce you to a small group where you can get "plugged-in" and become a part of the FFBC family. Our pastor will also be there and looks forward to welcoming you personally!

pick up your children
Make sure that you have the security tags that nursery and children's workers gave you when you dropped your children off so that we can ensure your children's safety. Be warned, they might be enjoying themselves so much they may not want to leave!
